Role overview
Financial Analysts transform raw financial data into strategic insights. They build and maintain three-statement models, perform variance analysis, and prepare management reports. On a typical day you’ll pull NSE/BSE data into Excel, query cost drivers via SQL, and run DCF valuations. Increasingly, analysts automate data pulls with Python and visualise KPIs in Tableau. They collaborate with accounting on quarterly closes, liaise with auditors, and brief senior leadership. Strong storytelling and attention to detail are critical as SEBI’s BRSR norms raise ESG reporting stakes.
